India's Badminton Team for Indonesia Open 2026

The Indian badminton doubles team, featuring Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, alongside PV Sindhu, is ready to compete in the Indonesia Open 2026, commencing this Tuesday, as reported by Olympics.com.


Rankireddy and Shetty arrive in Jakarta following their recent victory at the Singapore Open, marking their first title on the BWF World Tour in two years. They triumphed in the men's doubles final against Indonesia's Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Fikri, overcoming an initial game loss to secure the win with scores of 18-21, 21-17, 21-16 after a grueling hour and 13 minutes, making history as the first Indian doubles team to win the Singapore Open.


Highlighting India's Top Players

In the women's singles category, PV Sindhu demonstrated promising performance in Singapore, defeating Indonesia's world No. 6 Putri Kusuma Wardani and Japan's Riko Gunji before being eliminated by Olympic champion An Se-young in the quarter-finals. Currently ranked No. 12 globally, Sindhu may face An again in the second round in Jakarta. The women's singles team also includes Unnati Hooda and Malvika Bansod.
