India's Diplomatic Push Against Terrorism
New Delhi: In a significant move to enhance its global stance against terrorism, an all-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha is set to depart for Japan on Wednesday. This marks the beginning of a five-nation tour aimed at highlighting Pakistan's ongoing support for terrorist organizations.
This delegation is part of a larger diplomatic initiative designed to shed light on Pakistan's role as a terrorism sponsor on the international platform.
Jha stated in an interview, "Our nation has been grappling with terrorism for many years, primarily stemming from Pakistan. This is a well-known fact."
He further elaborated, "In previous incidents like the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the Pulwama attack, India has always shared relevant information and invited Pakistan to participate in investigations. However, can we expect justice from a thief? The Pakistani government itself finances and trains terrorists through its military, orchestrating a proxy war against India."
BJP MP Brij Lal, who is also part of the delegation, expressed confidence in their mission. "This delegation will make a substantial impact. Pakistan is a known hub for terrorism, and we will ensure this is recognized globally. For over 35 years, Pakistan has been a consistent supporter of terrorist activities in India," he asserted.
BJP MP Hemang Joshi emphasized the unity of the delegation, stating, "Today, we are presenting a united front as Team India to various nations. Our goal is to share India's perspective and expose Pakistan's ongoing support for terrorism on the world stage."
CPI(M) MP John Brittas, another member of the delegation, highlighted the mission's goals. "We are heading to Japan first, followed by South Korea, Indonesia, and Malaysia. This outreach program aims to communicate India's concerns and garner global support against terrorism. We are confident in our ability to effectively convey our nation's stance on this issue," Brittas remarked.
Simultaneously, another delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde will visit the UAE, Congo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. A third group, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi, is scheduled to depart for Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain on Thursday.
These multi-party delegations, supported by senior Indian diplomats, are tasked with presenting solid evidence of Pakistan's involvement in terrorism. This initiative follows the recent terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which led to 'Operation Sindoor' and a ceasefire announcement by Indian forces.
India is sending out seven delegations to 25 countries, including members of the UN Security Council, in a coordinated effort to foster international consensus and reinforce its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
