Shooting: Women's Skeet Team Secures Bronze, Manu Bhaker Reaches Final

The Indian women's skeet team, comprising Raiza Dhillon, Parinaaz Dhaliwal, and Maheshwari Chauhan, achieved a bronze medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday. The trio secured third place in the women's skeet team event with a total score of 331. Both Raiza and Parinaaz scored 111 out of 125, while Maheshwari contributed 109 points. China took home the gold medal with a score of 346, and Kazakhstan earned the silver. This bronze medal adds to India's shooting medal tally, marking the sixth medal in this discipline at the Games.

In another highlight, two-time Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker advanced to the women's 10m air pistol individual final, showcasing India's strong performance in shooting, rowing, and canoe sprint events on Wednesday. Bhaker's qualification was bolstered by an impressive performance, although fellow shooters Suruchi Inder Singh and Esha Singh did not qualify for the medal rounds.
