Arrest of Indian Woman and Her Husband

Pakistani security agencies have detained an Indian woman named Sarabjit Kaur, also known as Noor Hussain, along with her Pakistani husband Nasir Hussain in the Nankana Sahib area. They were in Pakistan for a religious event with Sikh pilgrims in November 2025. Sarabjit is set to be sent back to India via the Attari border.

Journey with Sikh Pilgrims

Sarabjit Kaur traveled to Pakistan on November 4, 2025, to participate in the celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birth anniversary, alongside 1,932 other Sikh devotees. They entered Pakistan through the Attari border and spent ten days visiting significant Sikh sites. Most of the pilgrims returned to India on November 13.

According to sources, the couple's arrest was executed by a team from Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau based on confidential information, leading to a raid in the village of Farewali. Currently, both individuals are being held at the Sadar police station in Nankana Sahib.

Missing from the Group

Upon the group's return, only 1,922 individuals were accounted for, with Sarabjit Kaur unaccounted for. Her name was absent from both Pakistan's departure records and India's entry records, initially leading to concerns about her disappearance. The Pakistani police and the Sikh Gurdwara management committee have initiated an investigation.

Marriage and Conversion

Sarabjit Kaur married Pakistani citizen Nasir Hussain during her stay in Pakistan. She converted to Islam and changed her name to Noor Hussain. A video confirming her marriage certificate and conversion went viral online, where she expressed her love for Nasir and mentioned that they had known each other for nine years. She also revealed that she was previously divorced.
