Rohit Sharma, a prominent figure in Indian cricket, also extended his admiration for the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy. He posted on his official X account, expressing pride in the military's efforts: "With every passing moment, I feel extremely proud of our Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy. Our warriors stand tall for our nation's pride. It's crucial for every Indian to be responsible and avoid spreading or believing fake news. Stay safe, everyone! #OperationSindoor #JaiHind."
Escalating Military Actions
In the backdrop of these sentiments, Indian forces conducted strikes on four airbases in Pakistan early today, as tensions between the two nations rise. This action followed Pakistan's attack on 26 locations across India, with ongoing intermittent firing reported along the Line of Control (LoC).
The Indian Ministry of Defence released a statement indicating that drones were spotted at 26 locations along the International Border and LoC with Pakistan, including areas like Baramulla, Srinagar, and Jammu. Notably, an armed drone targeted a civilian area in Ferozpur, injuring local residents who have since received medical assistance. Security forces have sanitized the area.
The Indian Armed Forces remain on high alert, actively tracking and engaging aerial threats with counter-drone systems. Citizens, particularly in border regions, are advised to stay indoors, limit unnecessary movement, and adhere to safety instructions from local authorities. While there is no cause for panic, heightened vigilance is essential.
