Indian MP Criticizes Pakistani Protesters in Copenhagen

Indian Parliamentary Delegation's Encounter in Copenhagen

Ravishankar Prasad, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), labeled the Pakistani individuals chanting anti-India slogans outside the venue hosting the Indian parliamentary delegation in Copenhagen as desperate. He advised the public to ignore them without any repercussions. While addressing Indian expatriates, Prasad remarked that the disruptions seemed to stem from individuals unsettled by the extensive coverage of India's strong stance against terrorism during its global outreach initiatives.

Prasad expressed his surprise at witnessing the Pakistani protesters, stating, "Our event is proceeding excellently, and we are receiving significant media attention. Their handlers in Pakistan must have instructed them to act out. They have come here in desperation. Pakistan is a nation living in despair. Just ignore them without any punishment." He highlighted human rights violations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) and Balochistan, questioning the treatment faced by individuals in POK, who are reportedly crying out to enter India, and noting the severe mistreatment of women in Balochistan. "Pakistan is in a lot of trouble," he added.

In a further comment, Prasad remarked, "Jinnah created Pakistan, and it has become a general store." The Indian parliamentary delegation in Copenhagen also included BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari, Samik Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, Congress MPs Ghulam Ali Khatana and Amar Singh, former Union Minister M.J. Akbar, and former Ambassador Pankaj Saran. Bhattacharya, addressing the Indian diaspora, emphasized that they are not begging for help but are traveling worldwide with a singular goal: to alert others that what is happening to them could also happen to others. Therefore, terrorism must be eradicated at its roots. Every Pakistani knows their reality; they cannot even open a shop outside their country under the name of Pakistan, as they resort to using Indian names.
