Historic Celebration at Lord's

On August 19, the Indian mixed disability cricket team, under the leadership of Majid Magray, celebrated a remarkable victory by emulating the famous shirt-waving gesture of former captain Sourav Ganguly after defeating England in the final T20I match at Lord's Cricket Ground.

The Indian team triumphed over England by 118 runs in the seventh and final T20I, securing a consolation win in a series that England ultimately led 4-3. India set a formidable score of 206/4, while England was bowled out for just 88, leading to jubilant celebrations on the iconic balcony.

Recreating a Legendary Moment

Despite losing the series, the Indian team's victory at this historic venue was met with immense joy, reminiscent of Ganguly's famous celebration during the NatWest series final in 2002.

A viral video showcased team members waving their shirts in the air, mirroring Ganguly's legendary moment from 2002, which has become a symbol of Indian cricket's spirit.

The players, coaches, and support staff expressed their happiness, marking the end of the seven-match T20I tour with a memorable win at the Home of Cricket.

India's Performance in the T20I Series

The series began poorly for India, losing the first match by 29 runs at Lord's. However, the team rallied back with two consecutive victories to take a 2-1 lead.

England responded strongly, winning three matches in a row to secure the series before the final match, which was a dead rubber. Nevertheless, India aimed to finish on a high note.

In the final match, India showcased a dominant performance, scoring 206/4 and bowling England out for 88. Majid Magray's explosive 63 off 19 balls and Arun Gawre's 68 were pivotal in setting a challenging target.
