Lovlina Borgohain's Gold Medal Match

In the boxing final, Lovlina showcased a strategic performance, effectively countering Bao's aggressive style to achieve a unanimous victory. The Chinese boxer started strong, but Lovlina's patience paid off as she edged the first round 3-2. Gaining confidence, she dominated the second round with a score of 4-1, leading 2-0 on the judges' scorecards. In the final round, Lovlina maintained her approach, allowing Bao to attack while finding countering opportunities, ultimately winning the round unanimously and securing the gold with a 5-0 score.

Archery Team's Silver Medal Journey

In the mixed archery final, the Indian team faced challenges early on, falling behind 0-4 against China after losing the first two sets. China took the first set 38-34 and the second set 37-35. However, India rallied in the third set, with Kumkum and Dhiraj scoring effectively to win 37-36, narrowing the gap to 2-4. The fourth set was tightly contested, with India scoring 37, but China managed to tie the set, securing the gold medal with a final score of 5-3. This result meant India missed out on the automatic qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, which was secured by China.
