Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, an experienced fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, has now etched his name in history as an astronaut. Born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, he is one of the four Indian astronauts selected for ISRO's Gaganyaan mission. Recently, he successfully docked with the ISS on June 26, 2025, becoming the first Indian astronaut to reach the ISS. He is also the second Indian to travel to space after Rakesh Sharma, who achieved this feat in 1984.
