Indian Army Thwarts Terrorist Infiltration Attempt in Jammu and Kashmir

Poonch/Jammu: On Tuesday, the Indian Army successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of one intruder, according to officials.

The confrontation occurred in the Krishna Ghati forward area when vigilant troops identified a group of terrorists attempting to cross from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) into Indian territory. This led to an exchange of gunfire, officials reported.

The White Knight Corps indicated that their continuous surveillance had detected suspicious movements about 300 meters within Indian territory in the Krishna Ghati Sector around 4 PM.

In response, the troops acted swiftly to prevent any breach of the LoC, successfully neutralizing one of the intruders.

The Army continues to maintain a strong presence in the area, ensuring operational readiness throughout the sector.

Sources suggest that the intruder may have affiliations with the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba and was attempting to infiltrate near Bicho Post in Mankote.
