Indian Army Successfully Prevents Terrorist Infiltration

In the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army successfully thwarted another infiltration attempt by terrorists early Tuesday morning along the Line of Control (LoC). Alert soldiers opened fire upon noticing suspicious activities, forcing the attackers to retreat.

Officials reported that the infiltration attempt was observed around 4:15 AM from the Turkandi forward area. They indicated that the soldiers guarding the LoC responded with gunfire to prevent the incursion.

Additional forces have been deployed to the area, and a comprehensive search operation is currently underway.

Previous Infiltration Attempts and Recent Discoveries

Earlier, on February 19-20, the army had also foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Sundarbani sector of Rajouri, seizing several weapons and ammunition during that operation.

On the same day, police in Rajouri discovered a balloon shaped like an aircraft, marked with 'PIA' in Urdu. This balloon was found in the Sarhoti village under the jurisdiction of the Dharmshala police station, prompting local residents to alert the authorities.

Police personnel from the Terith police station arrived at the scene, confiscating the balloon. Previously, on February 23, two balloons were recovered from Gunara village in the Akhnoor sector near Jammu, which had a Pakistani 5,000 rupee note and a US dollar attached.
