Indian Army's New Video Highlights Operation Sindoor

On the occasion of Army Day, the Indian Army unveiled a new video that illustrates precise strikes on terrorist camps across the border during Operation Sindoor last May. The three-minute clip begins by referencing significant terrorist incidents, including the 2001 attack on Parliament, the 2002 Akshardham Temple attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the 2016 Uri attack, the 2019 Pulwama incident, and the 2025 Pahalgam attack. The Army has labeled these events as assaults on humanity. The footage showcases how the Indian Army targeted nine terrorist locations on the night of May 7, 2025, highlighting the coordinated attacks carried out under Operation Sindoor.

Response to Cross-Border Aggression

Without directly naming Pakistan, the video also depicts the aftermath of heavy shelling from across the border near Jammu and Kashmir. It illustrates the Indian Army's counteractions, including the downing of drones and targeting military posts. The footage further reveals attacks on air defense radars and airports across the border. The video concludes with a stern message, serving as a warning to adversaries that they will face consequences for their cowardice.

Background of Operation Sindoor

The concept of Operation Sindoor emerged following an attack by Pakistan-backed terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where they questioned people's religion and killed 26 individuals. The government described this attack as a blatant attempt to incite communal violence. On May 7, 2025, India initiated Operation Sindoor to eliminate nine terrorist bases in Pakistan, resulting in the deaths of over a hundred terrorists. In retaliation, Pakistan launched drones and shelled civilian homes near the international border in Jammu and Kashmir. India responded with strikes that destroyed several radar installations and key airports in Pakistan.
