Indian Army Neutralizes Pakistani Terrorist in Uri Sector Operation
Joint Operation in Uri Sector
In a significant operation conducted by the Indian Army alongside the Jammu and Kashmir Police, a Pakistani terrorist was eliminated in the Uri sector of Baramulla district. This operation took place during the night of March 14-15.
Officials reported on Sunday that the joint effort was initiated based on specific intelligence received from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, which indicated an attempt at infiltration from across the border.
Weapons and Ammunition Seized
During the operation, soldiers observed suspicious movements among the bushes. The security forces adjusted their ambush position and challenged the suspect, prompting the terrorist to open fire indiscriminately. According to the army, "In the ensuing encounter, a Pakistani terrorist was killed."
The security forces also recovered combat equipment from the encounter site, including an AK rifle, pistols, and a substantial amount of ammunition. Authorities confirmed that a search operation is still ongoing in the area to ensure no additional infiltrators are present.
