Capture of Individual from Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir
Indian Army personnel apprehended a man from Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) close to the Line of Control (LOC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. This information was confirmed by officials on Saturday.
The individual, identified as Mohammad Sajjad, aged 26, was taken into custody on Friday after crossing the LOC into Indian territory in the Gulpur area of the Krishna Valley sector.
During initial questioning, Sajjad stated that he hails from the Polas village in the Abbaspur region of POK.
According to officials, he claimed that he inadvertently crossed the LOC into Indian territory. Security agencies are currently verifying the authenticity of his statement and are conducting further inquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding his crossing.
