India Warns Citizens Amid Ongoing Border Clashes in Cambodia and Thailand

In light of escalating violence at the Cambodia-Thailand border, India has issued a travel advisory for its citizens in both countries. The clashes, which have resulted in numerous fatalities, prompted the Indian embassy to recommend avoiding border areas. Travel Advisory Issued for Indian Nationals


Phnom Penh: On Saturday, the Indian government advised its citizens residing in Cambodia to refrain from traveling to border regions due to escalating tensions between Thailand and Cambodia, which have now persisted for three days.


The conflict, which ignited on Thursday, has resulted in the deaths of at least 32 individuals—19 from Thailand and 13 from Cambodia, as reported.


The Indian embassy in Cambodia issued a statement on X, urging nationals to avoid the border areas amid the ongoing violence.

Additionally, on Friday, a similar advisory was released for Indian citizens in Thailand, recommending they exercise caution and avoid travel to seven specific provinces.
