India-UK Trade Pact Announcement


New Delhi: The commerce ministry has announced that the India-UK free trade agreement will officially take effect on July 15, 2026.


This Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) was signed on July 24 of the previous year.


In a significant move for India's international economic relations, the ministry confirmed that the CETA will commence on July 15, 2026.


Additionally, the Agreement on Social Security, known as the Double Contribution Convention (DCC), will also be implemented on the same date.
