In line with this initiative, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved another significant milestone on Sunday. The Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory successfully conducted a test of a 'high-caliber bomb' at its facility located in Ramgarh, Panchkula, Haryana. This test was carried out under the supervision of senior officials from the Indian Air Force.
Safety Measures During the Test
According to defense officials, the test of the high-caliber bomb was entirely successful and adhered to established safety protocols. During the testing phase, there were concerns that fragments from the explosion could travel up to 1.5 kilometers. To mitigate any risks, the surrounding area within a 2-kilometer radius was declared a sensitive zone, and residents were evacuated for their safety.
