India Stands Firm Against China's Renaming of Arunachal Pradesh Locations
India's Strong Response to China's Territorial Claims
New Delhi: On Sunday, India firmly dismissed China's recent decision to rename several locations in Arunachal Pradesh, asserting that such claims and attempts to fabricate narratives cannot change the fact that these areas are integral parts of Indian territory.
The Indian government urged China to avoid actions that could harm bilateral relations and hinder the progress towards mutual understanding.
This statement from New Delhi followed China's announcement of new Chinese names for various places in Arunachal Pradesh.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that India rejects any deceptive efforts by China to assign fictitious names to Indian territories.
He reiterated that these attempts to create false claims and narratives do not alter the reality that Arunachal Pradesh and other regions are, and will always be, an essential part of India.
Jaiswal also noted that such actions by China undermine ongoing efforts to stabilize and normalize relations between India and China.
