India Secures Silver in Mixed 4x400m Relay

India achieved a remarkable feat by winning the silver medal in the mixed 4x400m relay at the ongoing Asian Games. The team's anchor, Vithya Ramaraj, delivered a powerful performance that secured their second-place finish. Vishal TK kicked off the race for India, followed by Poovamma, who took the second leg. Thanks to a strong late surge, Manu received the baton while in third place. He maintained the pace before passing it to Ramaraj, who executed an impressive final leg, propelling India to a silver medal. Bahrain's Salwa Eid Nasser showcased an outstanding anchor run, clinching the gold medal, while India finished with a time of 3:14.46, just behind Bahrain's 3:12.87.


This achievement adds another athletics medal to India's tally at this prestigious continental event.


Seema Kumari Clinches Bronze in Women's 10,000m

In another highlight, Indian athlete Seema Kumari secured the bronze medal in the women's 10,000m race. She remained competitive until the end, as Winfred Yavi and Nozomi Tanaka engaged in a fierce sprint for the gold and silver medals. In the final moments, Seema broke away from the pack to claim third place, contributing to India's athletics success.


Winfred Yavi won the gold medal with a time of 32:39.18, while Japan's Nozomi Tanaka took silver with a time of 32:41.54. Seema Kumari finished strong, clocking 32:50.05 to earn her bronze medal.
