He trailed Thailand's Puripol Boonson, who set a Games Record of 20.10 seconds. Kujur made a strong comeback after not qualifying for the men's 100m final, ensuring his spot in the 200m medal race.

Additionally, India secured two places in the men's 1500m final, with Gulveer Singh and Yoonus Shah both advancing from their heats.
