India Triumphs in T20 World Cup Final
On March 8, Team India, under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, clinched the T20 World Cup title for the third time, achieving a remarkable 96-run victory against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
India set a formidable target of 255 runs for New Zealand, bolstered by Sanju Samson's impressive 89 runs, along with significant contributions from Abhishek Sharma (52 runs) and Ishan Kishan (54 runs).
In response, New Zealand was bowled out for 159 runs in just 19 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler, taking 4 wickets for 15 runs, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 3.80 over his four overs. Axar Patel also made a notable impact, securing three wickets while conceding 27 runs at an economy rate of 9.00.
Additionally, Hardik Pandya (1/36), Varun Chakravarthy (1/39), and Abhishek Sharma (1/5) each contributed with a wicket, ensuring New Zealand struggled throughout their innings and solidifying India's commanding victory in the T20 World Cup final.
