India Launches 'Operation Sindoor Outreach' to Combat Terrorism and Isolate Pakistan
India's Global Campaign Against Terrorism
New Delhi: On Wednesday, India initiated its extensive global initiative named 'Operation Sindoor Outreach' aimed at highlighting Pakistan's connections to terrorism. The first contingent of an all-party delegation, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, has embarked on a five-nation tour from New Delhi.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced on X, "We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism! The initial group of the All Party Delegation, under the leadership of JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, has set off for a five-nation diplomatic mission as part of Operation Sindoor. This delegation will visit Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore to reinforce India's commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms."
The delegation, led by Jha, includes notable figures such as former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, CPI-M MP John Brittas, and several BJP MPs including Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, among others.
They are scheduled to reach Tokyo on Thursday, followed by visits to South Korea on May 24, Singapore on May 27, Indonesia on May 28, and Malaysia on May 31.
In total, seven high-level delegations comprising 59 Members of Parliament, including former ministers and experienced diplomats, are set to visit 33 countries between May 21 and June 5 as part of this campaign.
This initiative, spearheaded by the MEA, marks a unique multi-party foreign engagement effort aimed at presenting a united front against terrorism and diplomatically isolating Pakistan for its ongoing support of terror networks.
On Tuesday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri conducted comprehensive briefings for three of the seven delegations. Sources indicate that Misri clearly articulated India's stance: "India has endured cross-border terrorism for over forty years. We have established a new standard in countering such threats. There is no space for ambiguity or appeasement."
In response to Pakistan's proposal for a joint investigation into the recent Pahalgam attack, Misri firmly dismissed the suggestion, stating, "Requesting Pakistan to co-investigate terror incidents on Indian soil is akin to asking a thief to investigate his own crimes."
Each delegation is armed with confidential dossiers and intelligence materials that detail Pakistan's military and ISI's involvement in promoting terrorism, including direct evidence from Operation Sindoor, which recently targeted terror launchpads along the Line of Control (LoC).
The MPs, supported by senior Indian diplomats, will interact with foreign governments, parliamentarians, media representatives, civil society, the Indian diaspora, and international organizations, including the United Nations. They are expected to present firsthand accounts and documented evidence of Pakistan's terror infrastructure, including its support for groups like LeT and JeM, as well as harboring global terror fugitives.
The campaign covers strategic capitals from Tokyo to Washington, Brussels to Jakarta, and aims to deliver a clear and urgent message: "Terrorism anywhere poses a threat to peace everywhere, and India will not fight this battle alone."
Operation Sindoor Outreach not only signifies India's diplomatic determination but also sends a strong message globally — that sanctuaries for terrorists must be dismantled, and those who facilitate them must be held accountable.
