Women's Singles: Dsouza's Narrow Loss

In the women's singles event, Dsouza was unable to clinch a bronze medal, suffering a close 0-2 defeat to local favorite Yuina Sakamoto. The match was tightly contested, with Sakamoto winning both games 12-11, leaving Dsouza reflecting on missed opportunities.

Swimming: Rishabh Das Advances to Finals

In swimming, Rishabh Das made it to the finals of the men's 100m breaststroke by finishing fifth in the heats with a time of 54.85 seconds. China's Xi Jiayu, the Asian record holder, led the heats, followed by Japan's Hidekazu Takehara in second place. Das was just 0.63 seconds behind Takehara. Meanwhile, Utkarsh Patil from India placed 12th in the qualification round. Das is set to compete in the final on Sunday afternoon.

Wushu: Suraj Singh's Performance

In Wushu, Suraj Singh Mayanglambam finished eighth in the men's Changquan final, scoring 9.683, which eliminated him from medal contention. He had previously scored 9.730 at the last edition in Hangzhou. The competition was intense, with results determined by narrow decimal margins, and despite a strong performance, Suraj missed out on a medal.
