India Announces U19 Squad for Upcoming England Tour
Overview of the England Tour
On May 22, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the Indian Under-19 team set to tour England from June 24 to July 23, 2025. This tour will include a 50-over practice match, five one-day matches, and two longer-format games against England's Under-19 squad.
Leadership and Young Talent
The team will be led by 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre from Chennai Super Kings, with Abhigyan Kundu serving as vice-captain. Notably, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Rajasthan Royals has also made the squad.
Selection Process
The Junior Cricket Committee of BCCI was responsible for selecting the team, which aims to provide young Indian players with valuable experience in both one-day and multi-day formats during their time in England.
