Fitness Updates and Squad Adjustments

Jasprit Bumrah, the leading fast bowler, has been included in the squad, although his participation hinges on fitness approval from the BCCI Centre of Excellence. Likewise, B Sai Sudharsan's inclusion is also contingent on clearance from the COE. Washington Sundar will not be available for the first Test due to a hamstring injury, leading to Saransh Jain being called up for his first Test appearance.

Ravindra Jadeja makes a return to the squad after recovering from a tennis elbow injury sustained during the 2026 Indian Premier League, bolstering India's spin options in the subcontinental conditions.

Complete Squad for the Test Series

The squad features players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, Manav Suthar, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar, and Devdutt Padikkal.
