Joint Naval Exercise Begins
New Delhi, August 9 - A five-day joint naval exercise between India and the United States commenced on Monday in Kochi, as announced by officials on Sunday. This exercise, scheduled from August 10 to 14, aims to enhance coordination and professional collaboration among diving and explosive ordnance disposal experts.
A spokesperson from the Indian Navy stated, “This joint exercise focused on explosive material disposal will take place at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi from August 10 to 14.” Since 2005, the navies of both nations have been conducting joint operations to recover submerged vessels and neutralize mines and explosives. According to the spokesperson, during this bilateral exercise, experts from both sides will share experiences, engage in joint training, showcase advanced military equipment, and conduct practical drills based on real-world scenarios. This exercise will provide naval personnel from both countries with insights into modern techniques and improved methodologies for explosive disposal.
Additionally, the two navies will gain a deeper understanding of each other's capabilities, operational strategies, and working methods.
