New Delhi: India and the European Union (EU) have reiterated their commitment to resolving outstanding issues through constructive dialogue aimed at achieving a mutually beneficial free trade agreement (FTA), as stated in an official announcement on Saturday.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal wrapped up a pivotal two-day visit to Brussels, marking significant progress in the India-EU FTA negotiations.
During high-level talks with Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maros Sefcovic, both leaders directed their negotiating teams to address unresolved issues and accelerate the agreement's progress.
This visit concluded a week filled with intensive diplomatic and technical discussions in Brussels, emphasizing both sides' political commitment to achieving a comprehensive deal.
Prior to the ministerial engagement, high-level talks took place between Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal and Sabine Weyand, the Director-General for Trade at the European Commission.
