He emphasized the importance of societal awareness regarding innovations that can aid national progress. Singh noted that India has improved its position in the Global Innovation Index, moving from 76th in 2014 to 39th in 2024. The contribution of the digital economy to national income has also increased, making India the third-largest startup ecosystem globally.
Through public utilization of evolving technologies, India can be steered towards significant progress. He pointed out that the current challenge is not a lack of knowledge or data but rather a deficiency in wisdom. Terrorists are not uneducated; they often possess advanced degrees but lack the intelligence to use their knowledge constructively. Knowledge without wisdom can lead to divisive actions within society.
Concluding his speech, Singh remarked, "When India speaks on international platforms today, the world listens attentively. By 2047, we must build a developed India that is both prosperous and wise." He asserted that modern India draws strength and pride from its ancient past and cultural traditions. During his address at the university, named after Maharana Bhupal Singh, who founded it in 1923, Singh highlighted India's enduring contributions to various fields such as science, medicine, mathematics, grammar, philosophy, and ethics.
