India Achieves 4th Place at the Pickleball World Cup 2026

India's Remarkable Performance at the Pickleball World Cup

India secured an impressive fourth position among 82 countries at the recently held Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam. The nation amassed a total of 41 medals, which included seven gold, 17 silver, and 17 bronze medals. This achievement marks a significant improvement from last year's seventh place finish.

A delegation of 48 athletes represented India across various categories, including Kids, Juniors, Open, Seniors, and Masters team events.

Praise from the Indian Pickleball Association

The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) expressed pride in the team's accomplishments at the 2026 World Cup. CEO Aditya Khanna congratulated the athletes, emphasizing their dedication and hard work. He stated, "Achieving fourth place is a significant milestone, and we aim for an even higher ranking in the next edition. Our focus will now shift to enhancing grassroots pickleball in India to nurture more talent for the global stage."

Individual Achievements

Notable individual performances included Harsh Mehta earning a bronze in the Open Pro Men’s Doubles, Purvansh Patel winning gold in the U/18 Boys Singles, and Bhushan Akut securing three gold medals in the 60+ men's doubles with Ashok Rohira, 60+ Men’s Singles, and 60+ mixed doubles. Additionally, Fayrouz Zaidi triumphed in the 40+ women’s singles, while Vivek Reddy claimed victory in the men’s category.
