Chanderi Welcomes New Power Infrastructure

Chanderi. Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeast Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, inaugurated the Pathkheda and Madi-Mahidpur power substations today, with investments of ₹2.40 crore and ₹2 crore respectively. During the event, he emphasized that strengthening essential services like electricity, irrigation, and roads is fundamental to rural development and the prosperity of farmers.

Pathkheda Substation Completed in Just 120 Days

While addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Union Minister noted that the foundation stone for this substation was laid only four months ago, and now a modern power facility stands where there was once vacant land. He highlighted this as a testament to the government's commitment to rapid development. Scindia stated, “No matter where I am in the country, the flag of Ashoknagar will always be with me. My dedication to the development of this region will always take precedence.”

Prosperity of Farmers as the Foundation of Development

At the event in Madi-Mahidpur, the Union Minister urged farmers to adopt organic farming practices, calling for a commitment to natural agriculture. He remarked that this inauguration is not just about the power substation but marks a new chapter of prosperity for farmers. He also expressed hope for abundant rainfall, invoking the blessings of Indra Dev to ensure the success of farmers' efforts.

Transforming Irrigation, Roads, and Electricity

The Union Minister announced that the Chanderi micro-irrigation project, worth ₹550 crore, will irrigate approximately 28,000 hectares of land across 121 villages, with modern pump houses already developed for this purpose.
He pointed out that previously, there were only one or two power substations in the Chanderi and Mungavali areas, whereas now around 15 substations have been established, significantly enhancing the region's electricity supply. He assured that this development campaign will continue, stating, “Even if my life is at stake, my promises to the public will never falter,” emphasizing that fulfilling every commitment made to the people is his top priority.
