Air Quality Update for Delhi

On Thursday morning, the air quality in the national capital showed slight improvement, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 299, which still falls within the 'poor' category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).


Residents of Delhi experienced a brief respite from toxic air on Sunday (November 30) and Monday (December 1). However, by Tuesday, the air quality deteriorated once again to a severely poor state.


The CPCB categorizes AQI levels as follows: 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 is 'satisfactory', 101-200 is 'moderate', 201-300 is 'poor', 301-400 is 'very poor', and 401-500 is classified as 'severe'.


Weather Forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted clear skies for Thursday, with a cold wave expected to hit on Friday.


As per IMD data, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 5.6 degrees Celsius, which is 3.9 degrees below the seasonal average. The maximum temperature is anticipated to hover around 23 degrees Celsius.


Additionally, the relative humidity was noted at 92 percent at 8:30 AM.
