Outstanding Placement Performance by IIIT-Delhi B.Tech Students

The B.Tech students at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) have showcased remarkable achievements during the 2026 placement season. One student secured an impressive annual CTC of ₹1.23 crore (approximately ₹12.276 million). Notably, this institution is neither an IIT nor an NIT, yet its students have demonstrated their capabilities by landing substantial packages.

Record-Breaking Package for B.Tech Student

According to placement statistics released by IIIT-Delhi, the highest annual CTC for B.Tech students this year reached ₹1.22 crore. This figure highlights the potential for lucrative offers even outside the traditional top-tier engineering colleges. For M.Tech students, the highest package recorded was ₹38.48 lakh annually.

High Placement Rate for B.Tech Students

The institute reported that an impressive 98.26% of B.Tech students received job placements, indicating that nearly the entire batch found employment opportunities. During the placement season, students received offers from both domestic and international companies.

Diverse Job Offers Received

B.Tech students received a total of 372 A+ offers, with a CTC of ₹12.50 lakh. Additionally, there were 222 A offers, ranging from ₹7 lakh to ₹12 lakh, and 88 B offers, which were below ₹7 lakh. Notably, 60 of these B offers were later upgraded to A or A+ categories.

Average Package Exceeds ₹20 Lakh

In addition to the highest package of ₹1.23 crore, the average annual package for B.Tech students stood at ₹20.77 lakh. This indicates that not only a few students received high offers, but the overall average package for the entire batch was also significantly strong.

For M.Tech students, the average annual package was ₹17.05 lakh, while the overall average for all students at the institute was recorded at ₹19.59 lakh.

Total Job and Internship Offers

During the 2026 placement season, IIIT-Delhi students received a total of 868 offers, including 682 for full-time positions and 186 for summer internships. This data reflects the abundance of job and internship opportunities available to the students.

International Placement Opportunities

Students at IIIT-Delhi also received offers from international companies. The highest package for international placements was ₹48.65 lakh annually. In total, B.Tech students received 679 offers from Indian companies and 2 from foreign firms.
