IDF Conducts Successful Operations Against Terrorists

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that they have successfully eliminated several terrorist operatives in various operations. Among those targeted was a senior commander of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades in southern Lebanon, as well as a terrorist involved in the October 7 attack in Gaza. In a statement released on Telegram, the IDF reported that they struck Maher Qasim Hamdan, identified as the commander of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, in the Shebaa area of southern Lebanon on Wednesday. Hamdan was killed along with eight other terrorists while they were allegedly fleeing from Shebaa towards Sidon.

According to the IDF, Hamdan was responsible for recruitment, arms supply, and funding activities for the group. The IDF stated that this group receives direct funding from Hezbollah and is affiliated with it. Furthermore, the military indicated that members of this group have been involved in attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians. In a separate joint statement with the Israel Security Agency (ISA), the IDF revealed that they also eliminated Abd al-Rahman Ammar Hasan Khudari, a terrorist linked to Islamic Jihad, in northern Gaza on Sunday. The statement noted that Khudari allegedly infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 attack and was planning further actions targeting IDF soldiers.

The IDF further mentioned that three additional terrorists associated with Hamas were also killed in this operation. The Israeli military stated that its forces, in collaboration with ISA personnel under the Southern Command, are deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue operations to neutralize any immediate threats.

Previously, the IDF reported that they had killed the nephew and personal secretary of Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Naim Qasim, in an attack carried out in Beirut last night. In a statement on Telegram, the IDF confirmed that Ali Yusuf Harshi, identified as Qasim's personal secretary and nephew, was killed during overnight operations in the Lebanese capital. The military described Harshi as a close associate and advisor who played a crucial role in managing and securing the Hezbollah leader's office.
