Israel's Military Action Against Iran

Israel-Iran Conflict: On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the completion of a series of airstrikes aimed at significant sites in Tehran associated with Iran's nuclear weapons program. The IDF reported that these strikes targeted the Iranian Ministry of Defense's headquarters, the SPND nuclear project headquarters, and other facilities involved in Iran's nuclear development initiatives. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that these actions are part of Israel's commitment to defending 'freedom' in the Middle East and beyond.

The IDF shared on X, 'The IDF has completed an extensive series of strikes on targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project. The targets included the Iranian Ministry of Defense headquarters, the headquarters of the SPND nuclear project, and additional sites that advanced the Iranian regime’s efforts to acquire nuclear weapons and where they concealed their nuclear archive.'

In a follow-up post, the IDF asserted that they had to act against Iran, which they claimed could have produced 15 nuclear bombs if not halted. 'That’s how many nuclear weapons Iran could have made before we intervened. We had no choice but to act. It’s for our survival,' the IDF stated.

Netanyahu, in a video message, reiterated that Israel's military actions are aimed at thwarting the Iranian regime's ambitions to develop atomic bombs that threaten Israel's existence.

'We are acting against a tyrannical and radical Iranian regime that seeks to build atomic bombs to annihilate us and develop ballistic missiles, including intercontinental ones, to pose threats globally,' Netanyahu remarked.

Importantly, the IDF claims to have eliminated nine senior scientists and experts pivotal to advancing Iran's nuclear weapons program. 'All of the targeted scientists and experts were crucial to the development of Iranian nuclear weapons. Their removal is a significant setback for the regime's capability to acquire weapons of mass destruction,' the IDF stated on X.
