Bomb Disposal Operation in Itanagar


Itanagar, July 4: A specialized team from the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully disposed of two live bombs found in Rigyu village, located in the Dollungmukh Circle of Kamle district, on Thursday, according to a senior official.


The disposal operation took place between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM, overseen by Nabam Tarang, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Dollungmukh, along with personnel from the local police station.


These live explosives were initially discovered on May 26, 2025, in proximity to the IAF Dolum Firing Range, just a few kilometers away.


Following the discovery, the Dollungmukh administration, in collaboration with local law enforcement, secured the area to protect nearby residents.
