Husband Seeks Protection After Wife Leaves Him for Lover
A Troubling Domestic Situation
The bond between a husband and wife is often described as lasting through seven lifetimes, yet some individuals seem intent on tarnishing this sacred relationship. Historically, there have been numerous reports of wives facing abuse, but recent incidents have highlighted the plight of husbands as well. Cases involving Nikita, Muskaan, and Sonam Raghuwanshi have drawn attention, where husbands have faced extreme distress, leading to tragic outcomes. In a recent incident from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, a nurse has abruptly ended an 11-year marriage, with her husband alleging that she now wishes to harm him.
The distressed husband has filed a complaint against his wife, seeking police protection. Sant Pal reported to the authorities, stating, "Sir, I invested in my wife's education, spending 5 lakh on her nursing course. As soon as she secured a job, she abandoned me and is now living with her lover. She even threatens my life."
This case originates from the Majhola police jurisdiction, where Sant Pal married Pummi Sagar in 2014. The couple has two children together, and their relationship seemed stable until Pummi expressed a desire to pursue further education. Sant Pal supported her ambitions, funding her nursing studies. However, after she landed a job as an ANM, she allegedly became involved with a colleague named Manoj.
When Sant Pal discovered the affair, he attempted to confront Pummi. In a bid to mislead her husband, Pummi filed a case against Manoj in 2023, but it was merely a façade as she continued her relationship with him. This led to frequent disputes at home, and Sant Pal claims that Pummi's brothers physically assaulted him on June 21, with Pummi herself stating that she no longer had feelings for him.
Based on Sant Pal's complaint, a case of assault has been registered against Pummi and her two brothers. Currently, Pummi resides in their shared home, while Sant Pal has taken refuge in a rented accommodation, fearing for his life. He has expressed a strong desire for police protection, stating, "I believe my wife intends to kill me, and I need safety."
