Humorous Exam Responses from Students Go Viral
Students' Nervousness During Exams
Exams can be a source of anxiety for many students, especially for those who struggle with their studies. The fear of failing often leads them to write amusing comments on their answer sheets. A recent incident in Shahjahanpur highlights this phenomenon, as the Uttar Pradesh Board's high school and intermediate exams have just concluded, and the evaluation of answer sheets is currently underway.

On Friday, March 24, during the checking of biology answer sheets at GIC, one student made a humorous appeal to pass. Her remarks quickly went viral on social media, leaving everyone in stitches. She cleverly leveraged her identity as a girl, writing something that many found hard to believe.
The student wrote, “Sir, I don’t know anything about biology. My house is so far from school that I can’t attend regularly. I often get late cooking at home. You know how much work we girls have to do.” Her candid remarks have been a source of amusement for many online.

Teacher Premshankar noted that such messages are not uncommon on answer sheets. Some students even slip money into their answer sheets, while others cite their poor financial conditions as a reason for needing to pass. There are even instances where students threaten self-harm if they fail. Additionally, some students have been known to issue threats to teachers.
One teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, shared that a student threatened to report him to political leaders if he failed them, stating, “If I fail, I will complain to Yogi Ji and Modi Ji. Your job could be at risk.” Such threatening messages have become increasingly common on answer sheets.

In Shahjahanpur, six centers have been established for checking answer sheets, including GIC, Islamia Inter College, Devi Prasad Inter College, Janata Inter College, Abirich Inter College, and SP College. Approximately four lakh answer sheets are set to be evaluated, with more than half already checked. However, the process has been slowed down due to some teachers being absent.
According to DIOS Shaukeen Singh, action may be taken against teachers who do not report for checking answer sheets. Have you ever written something funny for your teacher on your answer sheet?
