Humayun Kabir Challenges Mamata Banerjee with Controversial Statements in Bengal
Humayun Kabir's Impact on TMC
In West Bengal, Humayun Kabir has been a significant source of trouble for the Trinamool Congress (TMC), shaking the political ground under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Recently, Kabir made a statement that has left the CM distressed and caused unrest within the TMC ranks. He is the same individual who recently announced plans to construct a Babri Mosque, even laying its foundation in Bengal. This event attracted a large gathering of Muslims, with several clerics appearing on stage alongside him. Amidst the rising controversy, Mamata Banerjee took decisive action by expelling Kabir from the party.
A Bold Challenge to Mamata Banerjee
Humayun Kabir openly challenged Mamata Banerjee, asserting that no one could prevent the construction of the Babri Mosque in Bengal. His remarks have stirred significant unrest among Hindus across the nation. By invoking the name of Babur, whose legacy was erased from Ayodhya, Kabir has initiated a new political narrative in Bengal, one that seems to be weighing heavily on Banerjee. Many Muslims, who are pleased with the Babri Mosque initiative, are gravitating towards Kabir, who has also announced the formation of a new political party. His actions have undoubtedly intensified the challenges faced by Mamata Banerjee.
Praise for PM Modi
Humayun Kabir has also expressed admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a commendable leader. He mentioned that among his favorite leaders were Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, but currently, he holds both Dr. Manmohan Singh and PM Modi in high regard. Kabir stated, "I have complete faith in Allah... I fear nothing... death is inevitable. The Prime Minister holds the highest position in the country and deserves respect." His statements are surprising, as he not only challenges Hindus with his Babri Mosque plans but also targets the BJP while undermining Mamata Banerjee's political standing.
