Humanity Triumphs Over Rules: Dausa Administration Acts Swiftly to Save Life

A Life-Saving Initiative by the Administration

  • Administration becomes a 'life-saver': System activated even on a holiday,

Dausa. When the value of life is prioritized over regulations, the administration transforms from mere governance to a compassionate entity. This was exemplified in Dausa, where a service center was opened on a Sunday to facilitate the treatment of a seriously injured youth following a road accident, ensuring he received the benefits of a government welfare scheme.

Incident Overview

Omprakash Bairwa, a resident of Salempura (Lalsot), suffered severe injuries in a road accident and was promptly admitted to the hospital. Doctors initiated a cashless treatment process under the Ayushman Bharat scheme (Chiranjeevi), but encountered a technical hurdle.

The issue arose because Omprakash's mobile number was not updated on his Aadhaar card, and discrepancies in his details prevented biometric verification. This delay heightened the family's anxiety regarding his treatment.

Proactive Administration on a Sunday

The hospital staff advised the family to update the Aadhaar details, but the holiday complicated matters. In response, CSC center operator Deepak Sharma took the initiative to escort the family to the Aadhaar center.

Upon learning of the situation's urgency, Kamlesh Kumar Sharma, the district manager of CSC SPV, adopted a humanitarian approach and issued immediate directives for a solution.

Under his guidance, Aadhaar operators Ravindra Gurjar, Virendra Gurjar, and Lakshman Kumar Saini opened the center despite the holiday and prioritized updating the injured youth's mobile number.

Timely Treatment Commenced

Once the mobile number was updated, successful verification on the Ayushman portal allowed for the immediate commencement of the patient's free treatment. The family breathed a sigh of relief upon receiving timely medical attention.

Statements from Officials

“Our goal is service,”

“When I learned about the injured patient's condition and the obstacles in the scheme, I prioritized the humanitarian aspect alongside the rules. Our team is always ready to assist the public. Often, people perceive digital processes (KYC, biometric) as a technical burden, but here, that very process became the human face of Digital India.”
