New Delhi: A troubling human trafficking case has emerged from the notorious GB Road area in Delhi. The Kamla Market police successfully rescued two women from Kotha number 58 and arrested three others in connection with the case. According to police reports, the victims were lured to Delhi under the pretense of job opportunities, only to be forced into prostitution.

Daughter Reaches Out to Mother for Help

As per police information, a 26-year-old woman from West Bengal had been missing since May 2. After nearly three months, on August 25, she contacted her mother, revealing that she was trapped in Kotha number 58 on GB Road and urgently needed assistance.

Upon learning of her daughter's plight, the mother alerted the police. Consequently, law enforcement conducted a raid on August 26, successfully rescuing the woman.

Another Woman's Story Involves Her 8-Year-Old Son

During the same operation, a 28-year-old woman was also rescued. She informed the police that she had left home two years ago due to family disputes, taking her 8-year-old son with her.

According to her account, a woman had gained their trust by offering food and water, eventually leading them to Delhi. Allegations suggest that they were later introduced to individuals associated with Kotha number 58.

Serious Allegations Regarding the Child

Investigations revealed that the woman's son was separated from her, and attempts were made to coerce her using the child. The police are currently working to locate the boy.

This aspect of the case raises further concerns, prompting investigative agencies to determine the child's whereabouts and his role within this trafficking network.

Women Lured with False Job Promises

Initial investigations indicate that the alleged gang was bringing women to Delhi under the guise of providing employment and a better future. Once there, they were ensnared in situations from which they could not escape.

The police have arrested three women named Geeta, Manju, and Paro Khatun in connection with this case. Authorities are also examining the involvement of other individuals linked to the network.

Case Uncovered Following Victim's Plea for Help

The case came to light when the first victim managed to reach out to her mother for help. Following the family's complaint, the police intensified their investigation, leading to the rescue of both women.

Authorities are now probing whether other women have been similarly trafficked from West Bengal or other states to Delhi. The investigation continues to uncover the extent of this human trafficking network.
