During a career guidance session at Green Field School in Sihunta, Ashish Kumar, a senior counsellor from Aarni University, Kangra, asserted that human intelligence and sound decision-making will always surpass artificial intelligence.

This session was part of Udaan, an ongoing initiative aimed at enhancing awareness about education, career planning, and personal growth among students in the remote and semi-urban areas of Himachal Pradesh, organized in collaboration with Aarni University.

Speaking to an engaged audience of students, Kumar emphasized that while AI and automation are rapidly evolving, it is human intelligence—characterized by ethical, creative, and empathetic thinking—that will shape future leaders.

“While technology can analyze data, it cannot substitute for human judgment, compassion, and accountability,” he remarked, urging students to view AI as a supportive tool rather than a competitor. He highlighted that future careers will require a robust foundation in critical thinking, communication, and emotional intelligence, in addition to technical skills.

Throughout the interactive session, students explored various career paths in both emerging and established fields such as management, sciences, law, healthcare, engineering, research, entrepreneurship, and public service. Kumar encouraged students to prioritize clarity of purpose over the confusion often caused by trends and societal pressures.

He also pointed out Aarni University’s commitment to bridging the gap between aspirations and accessibility, particularly for students from rural and hilly regions. “Aarni University focuses on developing responsible professionals equipped to tackle real-world challenges, rather than merely granting degrees,” he stated.

Kumar elaborated on the necessity for universities to operate as mentorship-driven environments, offering academic support, career guidance, industry exposure, and value-based education. He noted that initiatives like Udaan empower students to recognize their potential and make informed decisions at crucial stages in their lives.

Students actively engaged in the discussion, posing questions regarding career stability, competitive examinations, skill enhancement, and the significance of higher education in an AI-centric world. The counsellor reiterated that education rooted in human intelligence and ethical reasoning will always hold value.

The session wrapped up with a powerful message: while technology may transform careers, it is perseverance and human intellect that will ultimately shape destinies, leaving students inspired and more assured about their future paths.
