Additionally, Lakshya Sen secured victory against China's Lu Guang Zu with a score of 21-17, 21-15. In mixed doubles, the duo of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto advanced to the next round by defeating Malaysia's Wong Tien Ci and Lim Chiew Sien with a scoreline of 21-14, 20-22, 21-13.


Prannoy's Comeback Performance

Prannoy, a former World No. 6, showcased an impressive comeback after losing the first game. Although Christie had a 7-3 lead in their past encounters, Prannoy took charge in the second game, quickly moving ahead from a 2-all tie to win 21-12.


The final game was a nail-biter. Christie initially led, but Prannoy shifted the momentum in his favor during the crucial moments. After trailing 16-18, he scored five consecutive points to clinch the match 21-18.
