How Narendra Modi's Free Online Coaching Initiative Aims to Transform Education for Competitive Exams

Vadodara: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government is taking steps to alleviate the financial strain on families of students preparing for competitive exams by offering free online coaching.

During the 'NaMo for Viksit Bharat' event, where he inaugurated or laid the groundwork for development projects worth ₹35,000 crore, Modi referenced his earlier commitment made during his speech at the Red Fort on August 15.

"Every year, countless young individuals invest a significant portion of their family's income in coaching for competitive exams," Modi stated.

"Our goal is to ease this financial burden for families of underprivileged and middle-class students. Therefore, we are moving towards providing free online coaching, enabling our youth to learn from India's top educators. The government will manage this coaching initiative," he elaborated.

Modi emphasized that the evolving global landscape necessitates a shift in educational approaches, placing equal emphasis on skills alongside traditional degrees.

As a result, the government is in the process of reforming educational policies and institutions.

He also highlighted that expertise in Artificial Intelligence will extend beyond the IT sector, finding applications in agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and robotics startups.

Modi declared that India is entering an "extraordinary era" and urged the youth to focus on achieving the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' by the year 2047.
