Prime Minister Modi Addresses Global Challenges at Airport Inauguration

Noida: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India is tackling the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in West Asia with determination.

Speaking at the launch of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, he reassured that the government is implementing all necessary measures to protect its citizens.

The conflict in West Asia has persisted for over a month, and Modi stated that India is facing this situation head-on.

He pointed out that India's reliance on crude oil and gas from these conflict-ridden areas necessitates government action to prevent the economic burden from impacting families and farmers.

During the inauguration, Modi declared that this day marks a significant milestone in the journey towards a developed Uttar Pradesh and a developed India.

He highlighted that the Noida International Airport is expected to enhance economic activities in the area, creating new opportunities for farmers, small businesses, and youth in Western Uttar Pradesh.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, and other notable figures.

Extensive security measures were implemented for the event.

The first phase of the airport, with an estimated investment of Rs 11,200 crore, aims to serve as a multi-modal transport hub, ensuring seamless connectivity through various transport systems.

As per an official announcement, the project will feature a cargo hub capable of initially handling over 2.5 lakh metric tonnes annually, with potential expansion to around 18 lakh metric tonnes. The airport's initial capacity for passengers is set at 12 million per year, with scalability up to 70 million.

The Prime Minister also took the time to inspect the terminal facilities.
