Hosur Dentist Assaulted by Male Doctor After Marriage Proposal Rejection

Brutal Assault on Young Dentist
In a distressing incident, a 25-year-old female dentist was violently attacked by a 38-year-old male doctor, Dr. Anbu Selvan, in Hosur. This assault occurred after she consistently turned down his marriage proposals. The victim is currently receiving medical care at the Hosur Government Hospital, where she has been admitted with numerous injuries affecting her face, neck, arms, and other areas of her body. Authorities have initiated a formal investigation into the matter.
Victim Seeks Justice
The victim, known as Dr. Krithika, is calling for justice following this alarming event. From her hospital bed, she expressed her ordeal, stating, “He kept insisting on marrying me despite my repeated refusals. I never thought he would resort to violence. I demand justice for what I endured.”
Dr. Krithika, the daughter of Maheswaran, a 58-year-old employee in the forest department, resides in Sanasandiram, located near Hosur in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district. She recently completed her dental education and began working at a private dental clinic situated across from the Hosur Government Hospital on Denkanikottai Road.
Details of the Incident
Approximately 20 days into her new job, Dr. Krithika was approached by Dr. Anbu Selvan, the clinic owner, who proposed marriage. She immediately declined, indicating her lack of interest. Following this, Selvan reportedly ceased his advances until the day of the assault.
On the day of the incident, Selvan once again raised the marriage topic and took her on a two-wheeler to the Patthala Palli area, where he pressured her to accept his proposal. When she refused yet again, he began to harass her, demanding an explanation for her rejection.
As tensions escalated, he allegedly attacked her. “Once inside, he forcibly took my mobile phone, gold chain, bracelet, and watch and continued to assault me,” Dr. Krithika recounted.
Rescue and Investigation
Fortunately, her colleagues and clinic staff intervened, rescuing her from the attack. Her mother rushed to the clinic after noticing her phone was turned off and learned about the assault.
According to police reports, initial investigations indicate that Dr. Selvan is already married but currently separated from his spouse. He is originally from Thattakal village near Sathanur.
