Shocking Incident Unfolds

In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a vengeful husband committed a gruesome act that left the community in shock. Wearing a mask, he brutally murdered his wife and attacked her lover with acid. The incident occurred around 6 AM on Wednesday, as people were preparing to celebrate Holi.


Upon entering the house, the perpetrator, Manmohan Pandey, pretended to celebrate the festival by throwing gulal. As Brijdeep was taken by surprise, Manmohan poured acid on him, causing severe burns. Hearing the commotion, the victim's wife, Aarti (31), rushed out, only to be attacked with a sharp weapon, resulting in her throat being slit.

Reports indicate that Manmohan and Aarti had been married for approximately ten years and had a seven-year-old daughter. Their relationship had been strained for some time, with a divorce case pending in court. Aarti was living with her acquaintance Brijdeep, and they were planning to marry soon. This situation fueled Manmohan's rage, leading to this horrific crime.

Despite being severely burned, Brijdeep fought back against his attacker, resulting in injuries to Manmohan as well. Police arrived at the scene and transported the injured to a government medical college, where Aarti was pronounced dead.
