Horrific Murder: Man Disguises as Sadhu to Kill Estranged Wife

A chilling incident has emerged involving a domestic dispute between a husband and wife who had been living separately for a decade. The husband resided in Bihar while the wife lived in Delhi, and their relationship had deteriorated to the point where they were a thousand kilometers apart. Recently, the husband, disguised as a sadhu, returned to his wife after ten years, and she failed to recognize him. He managed to enter her home but tragically murdered her that very night, leading to chaos from Delhi to Bihar.

Indeed, a man dressed as a sadhu allegedly attacked his estranged wife with a hammer in Delhi. Authorities reported that this incident took place in the Neb Sarai area of South Delhi. The husband, identified as Pramod Kumar Jha, and the wife, Kiran Jha, were involved in this horrific crime. Police stated that Pramod Jha, also known as Pappu (60), assaulted Kiran (50) inside her home early Wednesday morning, describing the act as premeditated.

DCP Ankit Chauhan revealed that Kiran was discovered covered in blood by her daughter-in-law around 4 AM, prompting a frantic response from the family. The police were alerted immediately, and upon arrival, they sent the body for an autopsy. Initial investigations indicated that Pramod had disguised himself as a sadhu to mislead his family. He had arrived in Delhi from his ancestral village in Munger, Bihar, on August 1.

The DCP noted, 'After being separated from his wife for nearly ten years, the accused came to Delhi on August 1, disguised as a sadhu to mislead his family and gain entry into the house.' Kiran had been living apart from her husband due to ongoing domestic violence issues. She resided in Neb Sarai with her son Durgesh, daughter-in-law Kamal Jha, and granddaughter.

Reports indicate that Kiran had been living separately from Pappu for the past decade due to continuous incidents of domestic violence. The accused has since been arrested, and it is believed that the long-standing family disputes led him to commit this act. This murder has sent shockwaves through both Delhi and Bihar, with discussions about the incident circulating among families and neighbors. The police have registered a murder case and initiated proceedings against Pramod under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
