Today marked a significant milestone for the Jewar assembly constituency as the groundbreaking ceremony for a world-class hockey stadium took place at the Sector-37 Sports Complex in Greater Noida. The project, which has an estimated cost of ₹10.50 crores, was initiated with Vedic chants and traditional rituals. Dhirendra Singh, the local MLA, emphasized that "this hockey stadium is not merely a sports facility; it represents a commitment to the dreams, talents, and bright futures of the youth in Gautam Buddh Nagar. This stadium, developed to international standards, will provide local athletes with modern sports amenities, superior training, and opportunities to showcase their skills on national and international platforms."

The groundbreaking event was graced by former international field hockey player Romeo James, international hockey player Pramod Batla, and former captain of the Indian volleyball team, Nirmal Tanwar Bhati, alongside MLA Dhirendra Singh. The ceremony saw the presence of hundreds of attendees, including senior citizens from Greater Noida and local dignitaries such as Sanjay Pratap Singh, Manoj Garg, and others.
