Celebrating a Milestone Achievement

Parinaaz Dhaliwal, an Indian skeet shooter, expressed her excitement over the women's skeet team's remarkable bronze medal win at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026. She attributed this podium finish to the team's collective experience and unwavering determination. Alongside teammates Raiza Dhillon and Maheshwari Chauhan, Parinaaz helped secure India's first-ever medal in this category at the Asian Games.

Overcoming Adverse Weather Conditions

In a post-event interview, Parinaaz shared that the team managed to stay focused despite the challenging weather conditions. "Regardless of the weather, we have sufficient experience to adapt. While it can influence our performance, we ensure it doesn't distract us too much," she stated.

Optimism for Future Events

Parinaaz conveyed her confidence in the Indian shooting team’s potential to secure more medals as the Asian Games continue. "Absolutely! I have the mixed team event coming up tomorrow. I hope we keep winning medals every day," she remarked with enthusiasm.

Acknowledging Support

The shooter dedicated this achievement to all those who have supported her throughout her journey, including her coaching staff, the federation, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and her family. "Everyone has played a significant role, especially my personal coach, who traveled all the way from France to be here with me," Parinaaz noted.

Event Highlights

The Indian women's skeet team, comprising Raiza Dhillon, Parinaaz Dhaliwal, and Maheshwari Chauhan, secured third place in the event with a total score of 331. The gold medal was claimed by China with a score of 346, while Kazakhstan took home the silver.
