Recognition for Philanthropic Contributions
In Hamirpur, celebrated Himachali artist Nitish Rajput received accolades from Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla during the Red Cross Day festivities on May 8. The event brought together various dignitaries and volunteers to honor humanitarian efforts.
Nitish, hailing from the Chamba district, was acknowledged for his generous contribution of ₹50,000 to the Red Cross Society, which he donated during last year's International Holi Festival. This amount was taken from his performance fee as the festival's main artist, aimed at aiding the underprivileged.
His charitable act prompted the Hamirpur district administration to honor him at the Red Cross Day celebration. This is not the first instance of Nitish's generosity; he has previously supported the Red Cross Society in Kangra district on several occasions.
Gaining fame after winning the Voice of Himachal, Nitish has also been recognized in Voice of Punjab. His remarkable voice and heartfelt performances have captivated audiences across the state and beyond, securing him a cherished spot among music enthusiasts. The Governor commended Nitish for his compassion and social responsibility, labeling him an inspiration for the younger generation.
